Our 2 days gorilla trekking safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to see the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This mountain gorilla tours safari is meant for Rwanda travelers or individuals within Uganda in districts close like Kabale, Mbarara, Kasese and would like to see mountain gorillas in Bwindi which is situated in the south west part of Uganda. Here you will get to cross the border via Cyanika from Rwanda into Uganda and this is a lifetime opportunity as you will pass through the different landscapes filled with rolling hills.
Bwindi is known to be home to almost half of the world population of mountain gorillas with 17 out of 36 gorilla families now habituated and made available to tourists for trekking. Apart from seeing man’s closest relative in their natural habitat, you will also be able to spot other species of trees, chimpanzees, monkeys, antelopes, forest elephants, birds like, Turner’s Eremomela , the Grauer’s swamp warbler, the Chapin’s flycatcher, the Shelley’s crimson-wings, African green broadbill and many others.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our driver/guide will pick you from Kigali international airport or from a hotel within the city and brief you about the itinerary. Before embarking on a journey to Bwindi, you will taken on a city tour to see some of what Kigali holds within its boundaries like the Rwanda genocide memorials sites, museums among others. And its within the city that you will you have your lunch and later begin your journey to Uganda. Through this 4hr journey to Bwindi, you will see what the beautiful countryside of Rwanda and Uganda have in common ie the rolling hills, you will also go through different until you get to the final destination.
Upon arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you will check in to your hotel, relax, have dinner and then rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up excited because this is the day you will go out in the wild to go search for mans closest relative. Your day will begin with you taking breakfast early in the morning and our driver/guide will come and pick you up to the park headquarters for briefing on the guidelines to follow during the trek and close to the mountain gorillas. Once briefing is done you will be grouped into 8 individuals, sometimes you can be 2-5 and a well-trained ranger will lead you into the jungle to see the species. You will be given an opportunity to hire a potter just incase you want one to help with carrying the backpack. A potter is paid $10.
During the trek, you will discover so much within the dense rain forests – both animal and plant species. Upon spotting the gorillas, you will be given time of up to 1hr to observe and study their behavior as you take very many photos as you can. It’s a feeling you will experience like never before seeing these endangered species as they play, feed with the silverback as the head of a particular gorilla family. Once the 1hr has elapsed, you will be led back to the park headquarters where our driver/guide will pick you up to your hotel where you will relax for a few hours, grab something to eat, check out and then later you will be transferred to either back to Kigali or to any other closer district within Uganda where we had picked you.
