Brief itinerary
Before the safari starts you will be picked from the airport. Arranging your accommodation before the tour comes at an extra cost.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/ Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked from Kampala / Entebbe to Bwindi as early as 6:30am in the morning by a driver so as to avoid the morning traffic jam within Kampala. Along the way, enjoy the scenes of the beautiful landscape countryside made up of hills and valleys. You will be given an opportunity to capture the memorable beautiful landscape right onto your iPhone or camera.
You will also have a stopover at the equator for some photos and while here, you will also have a look at the hand crafts made by the community and are always available for sale. From here proceed to Igongo cultural center and here you will be told so much about the western culture especially Ankole’s long horned cows, how local ghee(mayonnaise) is prepared, milking a cow and more. And its at this place that you will receive your delicious lunch.
After the lunch, you will continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park as you get to see the beautiful scenery of the west side of the country made up of green hills and valleys. The days journey will end at a reserved hotel in Buhoma or Kabale (Engagi lodge or trekkers tavern lodge).
You will need to rest early so as you prepare for the next day which is a fun-filled gorilla trekking day.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Wake up so early for your breakfast, your guide will drive you to the Buhoma headquarters where you will be briefed on the guidelines to follow before heading into the jungle to find the great mountain gorillas. Before setting off, a ranger first makes sure everyone has packed their lunch, drinking water and a porter is always available to carry your backpack but at a fee so that you get to enjoy your trek. Gorilla trekking usually takes about 1-6hr depending on the location of a specific gorilla family but sometimes it can be less than an hour.
On spotting the gorillas, you are given up to 1hr to spend with the endangered species in their natural habitat as you observe, capture pictures before heading back to the park headquarters where you will be handed a certificate confirming you have tracked gorillas in Uganda. From here you will head back to your hotel of choice and rest.

Day 3: Head back to Kampala or Entebbe airport
After your breakfast, you will travel back to Kampala or Entebbe to prepare yourself for a journey out of Uganda or home. Along the way you will once again enjoy the incredible and beautiful scenery i.e. the hills and valleys with different vegetation. You will stop over in Mbarara at Agip motel for lunch. Thereafter you can proceed with the journey to Kampala. You can as well choose to stop at the equator once again for photos and also purchase a hand craft at Kayabwe which is optional.
Upon reaching Kampala or Entebbe, you can either choose to stay around for a night in a hotel in Kampala and travel the next day or fly home the same day after the fun- packed safari from Bwindi. This will mark the end of the 3 days uganda gorilla safari.
